Club Championship

The 'HOTTEST' day of the year saw the top 32 players and the Defending Club Champion do battle over 36 holes for the coveted title of Club Champion.  The early pace was set by Matt Ritchie with a level par, 35 front nine.  Throughout the day many other players put in some great nine holes, Dan Brown and Ben McKay also shooting 35's and Graham Way with a 36. However it was Stuart Bearman carding a +1 round of 71 to setting the bench mark for the rest of the field to better in the afternoon round.

With the sun beating down on all the players, conditions were getting tough and many fell by the wayside.  Cliff Evans shot the best Gross score in the afternoon, a 77.

It was left to Stuart Bearman to play his way in and to win his 6th Club Championship by 3 shots from Danny Brown with the ever improving Cliff Evans a commendable 3rd.

New Rules!

The R & A have released their new 'Rule Book' which comes into effect from the 1st Jan 2008, these are available for you to pick up from the Club. There are only a couple of changes, so pick up your copy today, so as to not get 'Caught Out!'
