Presentation Night
Saturday 6th March 2010
Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Club Presentation Evening is to be held on Saturday 6th March 2010 at the Golf Club, all Members are welcome to attend.
The evening will include a 3 course meal with a choice of menu, Presentation of trophies, live music and entertainment.
There will be a list to add your names to in the bar & the locker rooms.
Note: In previous years the Presentation evening has been allocated to the Winners of the trophies first and then other Members who wish to come, but this year although we would like to see as many winners as possible attending, it will be open to all Members from the start (guests can be added later depending on numbers).
I look forward to seeing as many Members as possible supporting this major club function:-)

- Entry Forms will ‘Only’ be available from the Pro Am Committee on Wednesday 3rd February 2010, from 6.00pm, at the Clubhouse.
- Entry Forms will only be given to Members who can provide a ‘Full Team’. A ‘Reserve List’ will run once all the Entry Sheet is full.
- Teams who fail to pay the Entry Fee by the ‘Closing Date’ will forfeit their place to the first team on the Reserve List.
- Open initially to Members Only, with an Official Golf Club Handicap
- One Pro and Three Amateurs in each Team
- Stroke Allowance ¾ of Handicap, Maximum 24 for Men and 30 for Women, two scores to count, Medal
- Entry Fee includes Coffee & Bacon Roll on arrival and Lunch
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 28th FEBRUARY 2010
125 Celebrations
The 125 Celebrations will be held from the 15th August - 21st August 2010. Each day there will be a separate event in which we will be inviting other Golf Clubs to help us Celebrate our 125 Year. There will also be a new Men's Major, the Tovey Trophy, on the 15th and a Members Competitions on the 21st. A Celebration Dinner will take place on Friday 20th August in a Marquee at the Club House. More information will be posted soon.

FORT GILKICKER UPDATE
The Secretary of State will be holding a Public Meeting at Gosport Town Hall on the 23rd - 25th March 2010. This is your opportunity to put YOUR views, to support YOUR Club.
We are inviting as many Members as possible to attend one of these days, to try and prevent this development from proceeding.

New Rules!
The R & A have released their new 'Rule Book' which comes into effect from the 1st Jan 2008, these are available for you to pick up from the Club. There are only a couple of changes, so pick up your copy today, so as to not get 'Caught Out!'
